Happy Doggy Moments

Remember Maru Chan? She's the little cutie and well loved toy poodle of Anzu's Granny Baba who's just a day older than her. I remember the first time we introduced them to each other, it was an instant love for lil Anz. Maru Chan was kinda aloof at that time, hmmm maybe she was shy (or scared). She's not a jealous dog. You rarely hear her barks.. We are so careful to keep a close eye on the two of them when they are together but Maru Chan has never even flinched when Anzu gets too excited and tries to grab her face (ears, eyes, tail, etc.). However, we always let the dog know she's being a good girl and also teach Anzu to be more caress when grabbing her.

The positive reinforcement is always great for dogs -- and for kids as well.

Here's one of the many video clips of them taken last month (february 2010)....

Enjoy watching =)

The fascination and fun we see when they play and interacting is priceless. They're just so funny lol.. another video clip

Enjoy watching....

I love Maruchan eversince and I'm loving her more coz she has been a woderful and amazing dog and a playmate to our lil girl.

Independent Lil Girl

Our lil Azumi's independent spirit is becoming more evident and unexpected nowadays. Atleast most of the time if not often.

She doesn't want to be held longer.. she wants to go upstairs by herself .. she wants to walk without her hands being held.. There's always 2 spoons whenever she eats, one for her and one for me. She won'T eat unless she holds her own spoon and feed herself ( while I feed her at the same time of course.. ).. and many more "i can do it" things lol

I should've posted this a month ago...
Captured In Time...
enjoying eating by herslef lol

ALso watch the Part 2 of this video

It's really fulfilling to see your kids becoming independent. Can't help but become sentimental sometimes coz a year ago, I was just a newbie without experience under my belt - I was freaked out ---she was so little and needy, and I had to quickly learn how to meet her needs...

And now??...oh well I must admit, Im also a little excited and anticipating all the cool things that are in store for her in the coming days, weeks, and months.

I guess I have to tell the news now and further talk about it next time.... --- We have a new pre-schooler next week

(h1n1) Vaccine

After months of waiting and umm, few times of discussion whether to vaccinate or not, finally our lil girl had her aH1N1 Vaccine last Saturday. Actually that was her second shot , the first was taken a week before the second...

I have been so reluctant and on the fence about it at first, because I read alot of opinions which were mostly not in favor. Some were over exaggerating the potential problems with the vaccine. Some even said it has not been properly tested yet, blah blah...

But I guess the media was really scare mongering that overwelmed us to be more extra cautious and wait for the Vaccine to be available in the masses. It's so sad to hear the news about kids have died =( It freaked me out a bit that me and my dolly seldom go out, ride a train and mall hop=(

I admire Japan Media for being responsible enough to educate their people about this Influenza outbreak ( ah1n1 ) and atleast on how to prevent it. This actually made me watch the news every now and then lol. (but not anymore....)

The virus is unique, new in 2009, and our immune systems do not have antibodies that will act on it at all. That is why people under 50 are the ones who die from it, unlike the seasonal flu.

The bottomline, I just want to be the best mom I can for my daughter…and if anything happened to her…I would never forgive myself for which ever decision I might have made. It's better to prevent..

Im actually kinda relief now.. we can go out anytime we want. The only thing that prevents us is the freaking cold weather ...

P.S
please ALWAYS wash your hands first as soon as you get home..

Hand washing is the single most important step in preventing the spread of diseases.

New Favorites

Our lil Anzu girl's latest addictions.. hmmmm...

Strawberry, Noodles and Bread

Being the strawberry is at peak season in Japan right around now, can't blame my lil girl when she refuses to eat her (former) favorite banana over strawberries which are amazingly sweet and luscious. Recently always served every meal until a new seasonal fruit will be available.

Anzu now chooses breads over cookies. She doesn't like her baby cookies anymore =(

She also loves noodles, such as udon, ramen, soba, or anything long. I guess she finds it amusing when she slurps it. Whenever we dine out, we must order noodles or else, di kami makakain dahil sa kakulitan nya.

Favorite part of the Park (near our house)

this is actually for 3 years old and up..

Dogs

Maru Chan (her granny's Toy poodle), Nana Chan (our neighbor's.. ), and Haru Chan (Okasan's..)

Anzu really gets excited whenever she sees dogs.
That's why I bought her doggy stuff toy which she loves so much. I named him Billy lol

I could share more about her latest addictions but let me judt share my all time favorite instead...

what?

On her 15th month....

15 months of Happy Life with our Baby Girl!

Dear Anzy,

Well Mommy just loves calling you in different names... anzu, az'mi, anz, peko chan, pekpek chan, my baby, anji, and the latest is Anzy lol.. You dont seem to show confusions coz you quickly respond, except when you're watching your favorite shows.

This week you turned 15 months. Geesh, You just keep on growing, changing and --— ok i think i keep on saying it everytime but im just gonna say it again—-- improving all the time .
Each day, You are getting better and better, and we’re having a blast watching you learn about life in toddlerville .

We just know it when you're already tired or sleepy, you're so predictable when it comes to that because of your thumbsucking hehe..

It's really amazing how you show us some things and we just realized that you are indeed remembering already. You keep on making us proud by the details you are keeping and remembering from day to day, not just the illustrations, the signs, the songs, the people, but also the commercials on the tv.

Last month was our busiest month so far.. It's really helpful (for me) when you keep on busying yourself doing your own thing.

Kinda messy and full of clutters most of the time though...

So glad I thought of having you your own Freedom Wall.. Not only helpful for me but also for you, exploring yourself in the world of free art..

WHat makes me more proud of you is You share your things with others. Its so funny how you still try to communicate with your cousin even if he already pushing you away lol I hope you would grow up to be a selfless and generous person. That's important to me..

First Christmas Party With Japanse-Filipino Half Kids

Finally, Maru Chan is not avoiding you anymore...

You two always make your Grannies laugh outloud.. Coz this time, Maru Chan is the one tailing you around, but the good of you, instead of getting rid of her, you play and even feed her. Continue to love each other til you grow up.. There are more fun years to come to both of you.

Your First Christmas Celebration

Actually it was your second but last year was the first time you really enjoyed and felt the spirit of Christmas. We hope to celebrate it in Philippines this year..

The Uncontrollable YOU

You get excited when I put your shoes on your lil feet coz you know we're going outside.. You seem so uncontrollable when I let you walk by yourself.. You already know where to go, PARK near our house..

So many things to share.. so many moments to treasure (but geesh I havent started your baby albums yet... )

We have lots to look forward to this whole new year. I’m so glad you’re with us for the adventure!

Happy 15th Month
Love,
Momma
