New Year's List (?)

I’m sure by now, if you are a New Year’s Resolutions kind of person, you have already made a list of them. With me, I always have great intentions every time of the year. Everything just seem to sparkle with so much possibilities. I have to say, I sometimes get that OBAMA syndrome, “change is needed” thingie and make a resolution or two, but when I do, I inevitably either don’t follow through or end up forgetting them by the end of January.

But this year feels different to me. Not in a manner that makes me wanna shout my life goals from the highest mountain. But in a way that makes me more contemplative about 2009 and more realistic about 2010.

Last year was a tough year as for our new role in life, which is being a parent. It was a great year, too. It was a fun year of learning the ins and outs of parenting.

00215.gif image by bams704Learning how to "changing those really bad and smelly diapers" routine fun to do, with the toddler moving around and wanted to stand up...
00215.gif image by bams704Learning how to function well on no sleep,
00215.gif image by bams704learning how to find humor in a tantrum instead of getting annoyed (Seriously, when th elil girl cries so much, sometimes the only thing we can do is laugh a little lol and then she laughs lol)

and a lot more...

Instead of making a long list of resolutions which is a lame for me to keep, I'd rather have some WORDS for us to hold on and guide us to take the action throughout the year...

Focus
Productive
Positive (outlook)
(happy and communicative) Family
Interact
(be) Inspired

I wanted to further talk about those chosen words of mine but for now ----

Here's to a great and positive year ahead for us

  1. Yes, I agree with you. It is better to have key words from which you can really focus on. Those are really magical words and easy to retain unlike the proverbial New Year's resolutions which are easily forgotten and discarded in a very short time. It is the resolve to make meaningful changes in one's life by focusing on key words that best exemplify the changes or emphasis we want to do in our lives. But most of all, we have to pray to God that He will guide and protect us all the way. Thanks for the meaningful post. God bless you all always. Paki kiss lang ako kay Baby Azumi, lol.
