HinaMatsuri

If you're following this blog (and Kizuna's) maybe you know by now that March 3rd is celebrated annually as the girl's day in Japan. This event which is called Hinamatsuri is special day where parents wish for their girls' happiness and good health all throughout the year. (read my last year's post, Ohinasama)

Ohinasama dolls are being displayed inside the house, usually in the living room. These dolls are not just an ordinary Japanese Dolls. They're especially made just for this time of the year and must be kept atleast a day after the event.

Joy Ride

I love driving, so as honeyb.. We used to go out of town atleast twice a month when we were still dating.. usually it was always unplanned. We still drive around though but we rarely go out of towns because of our lil girl.. We just drive around and go somewhere..

Sometimes out of blue, we go out and just drive around the city, have take out from different food chains such as mcdo, moss burger, foods from convenience store... well Starbucks drivethru is my/our favorite..

Speaking of driving, I'm really looking forward to finally get a Japanese License this year. IDL is not acceptable anymore.. They say it's not that easy to get it, the exam is so tricky and there are rules and processes to follow. NO PAIN NO GAIN.

Geesh, I have to start reviewing now (but the problem is, im soooo lazy heck!)

First Day

Late post =( As much as I wanted to blog about Anzu's first day in pre-school (last week tuesday, mar 2), I would just like to make this post as simple and short as possible.. Let the photos do the further talking lol.

Day 61 of 2010's ( tuesday, mar 2)

This is Anzu's School Bag and learning supplies, provided by her school

How was our first day in school? It was fine. Although Anzu wasn'T that cooperative grrr... SHe was playful and didn't want to be held.. The one hour class consist of 4 programs, which includes "mom and child interaction" where we sing and dance together.. Anzu wanted to sing and dance beside the teacher instead lol. I'm just glad she wasn't really shy girl after all. 3 of her classmates cried and Anzu was friendly enough to give her toy to the little boy crying beside us..

No matter how I love taking Anzu's photos, especially her special moments and milestones, I know when is the right time to do it... kakahiya naman mamicture sa loob ng classroom so here is a shot taken right after saying goodbye to her dear classmates. Parang ayaw na umuwi lol

First Aid

These are the most essential First Aid items in our Medicine Box, mostly are for our lil princess.

** Digital Thermometers
We use Ear Thermometer when our lil girl is not in the mood. I guess she's uncomfortable with the normal digital thermometer.

Ear Thermometer is quicker and more safe. The only problem to it is that its a little trickier to use than other digital thermometers. If you don't insert it exactly right, you could get an inaccurate result.

** Baby Nasal Aspirator Vacuum Suction (or simply Nose Vacuum)
This is with another tube for mother to vacuum out baby's mucus. When the nose is clear, you will feel the free air go in your mouth. The mucus will be collected in the container or just along the other tube.
This has been a handy tool for us eversince. Anzu could be so irritating when she has runny or stuffy nose. She had those episodes when she suddenly cries in the middle of the night because of stuffed-up nose and this nose vacuum cleaner helped her breathe smoothly

Well I don't have much First Aid tips to share because I don't have any serious experience yet (thank God). But I suggest to have your child a seperate First Aid Kit or Medicine box. I think it's important so that you may be able to get what you need quickly. You don't want to be "hunting" for the things you need right? Plus the fact that kids are more prone to sickness and accidents.

Short Update:

Sounds cliche (and every moms always say this) Time really flies -- my baby who is now a lil girl is so ready to attend her first day in Pre-school tomorrow (later, march 2)... gosh, i feel ---hmm mix emotions again.. but I'm excited..

OK before I pass this award, let me state atleast 7 things about Anzu's Mom...

1. I can't sleep early but I'm trying not to stay longer than 1am.
   
2. I love preparing healthy foods for my lil prinsesa.. no wonder she's so healthy and thank God, she haven't experienced being sick ( i wish not)
   
3. I LOVE DRIVING.. im planning to get a Japanese Driver's License coz they don't permit International Driving license anymore =(
   
4. I'm a couch potato sometimes... series addict!.. I can watch the whole season in just a day.
5. I love my friends and loveones, esp my sissy--- without them I would have probably gone insane already. Even if they are an ocean away, I know they will always be there for me, no matter what..
6. Just like my honey b, I love eating at very expensive restaurants once in a while (no remorse at all, we deserve to treat ourselves once inawhile diba, experience is so worth it!)
7. CAMERA FREAK! I mean i love taking pictures.. well not myself anymore, but my lil kawaii prinsesa and anything surrounds me, may it be a beautiful suject or not (visit/follow my tumblr)..
