Jolly Anzu

My baby who has just turned 5 months today smiles, giggles, and making noises all the time. I really love it especially every morning, a really good thing to start a positive day. Sometimes she wakes us up by her "ahhhhhhhhh----". Just lately she learned to shout like a girl who just saw Rob Pattinson, you know what I mean . Having a happy baby is the best pleasures a mom (& dad) could ever have. I wish she stays that way til she gets old.

Just a short clip of lil cutie dollie Anzu having a good time with her pretty mumma on a friday morning. Enjoy!

Toy Hunt: Yellow Toys

Another thing for me to look forward every Sat is Toy Hunting by Ate Joy D. This will gonna be my first time to post an entry for

I'm thrilled to be invited lol.. ( arigatou gozaimasu...)

I didn't have a hard time hunting for this week's theme, Yellow toy. Aside from color red, I think Yellow is my lil dollies favorite color =)surely we have those ones..

I bought these stuffs in Toys R Us for my baby's stroller. I bought that flower when she was 2 months old,and put it on her crib at first. She loves staring at it... Now, I think she's loving the lil chick but she still loves the flower thats why I put it on her stroller where she sits every morning =)

This lil lion is hanged on her play pen... Obviously, she loves it also =)

Mommy Moments: Bath Time

One of my favorite routine of the day ( I guess my baby too ) is BABY BATH TIME . Perhaps this is the main part where we can bond with our lil dollie since I couldn't do it all by myself. I just can't deal with the slippery baby that really scares me, and my husband too, not yet this time.... So we do it together, he's the one prepares the bathroom, keeping it warmer because a baby couldn't regulate her temperature yet, and it is still winter season, while I prepare her clothes and making our room warmer. During bath time, he's the one holding her when its time to rinse, and I am charge with soaping, washing, and changing clothes upstairs .

She loves stretching her legs and splashing water in her lil bath tub. We did bath together few times in our tub, when it's really freezing cold outside. But we still prefer the usual way, atleast for now, because she still cannot stay longer on a hot bath It irritates her and it's quite difficult yet, you know the AFTER......

This was her first bath in a hot tub with her dear Dad. It was a freezing New Year's day so we decided to have her first hot bath before going to bed. She was serious at first, then splashing the water afterwards.

Of course, Our first hot bath together was recorded too. I just cannot show it off because my dear Honey wasn't as good camera man as I am

I can't wait the three of us bonding together in a hot tub, with those bath toys & lil yellow ducks

OHINASAMA

Today we're celebrating another tradition of Japan for girls . The Japanese Doll festival or OHINAMATSURI OHINAMATSURI which is celebrated every 3rd day of March every year. It is actually celebrated at home with your daughter, and her OHINASAMA (japanese dolls) displayed inside the house . I put her Ohinasama in our living room where everybody could see it. It is believed that these dolls absorb all the evil spririts & misfortunes coming their way for the coming year. This means our daughter will have a good life & happiness all throughout . I absolutely hope so.

I want to thank my Mom in law who bought this doll for our lil girl. Traditionally speaking, my mom should be the one giving this to Anzu. But my MIL volunteered because this costs too much. An Ohinasama ranges 10,000 down to 600 bucks . Sabi ko nga, magastos mga bata dito especially girls . But I love it, i so much enjoy the Japan's rich culture. Im lucky to be part of it now because I have a Japanese daughter. Im glad to have a husband who whole heartedly shares their culture to me, and willingly like to teach our (future)children not only their culture, but also my culture =) I know, my kids will be happy and proud to be half Filipino and Japanese when they grow up . Coz you know, I know some half filipino kids who don't want to be labeled as filipino

Anywhoo, if Japan has Girl's day, they also have Boy's day which is held on 5th day of March every year. They also have their own Ohinasama, i just don't know what they call it but they are not dolls... oh well, it's a different story. I don't have a baby boy yet lol..

I also would like to thank my Mom's Mom in Law, Okasan as well we all call her, for making efforts of making a chirashi-sushi for Anzu, which is one of the foods that should be prepared in celebrating the said festival.

Notes:
It is also believed that OHINASAMA dolls should be kept after the festival day or else the daughter will become an old maid =) or if not,it would take a long time for her to get married. That's uncool =(

Mommy Moments: Feeding Time

This was the very first time I fed my lil Azumi, it was exactly an hour after I gave birth thru normal delivery. That was the strangest yet the sweetest....---oh well actually there are no words to explaine how I felt during that time. The feeling was automatic, maybe I could describe it as "extreme overjoyed".

When I was still pregnant, I was already determined to to breastfeed my baby even though I didn't have the idea of how would I do it. I heard alot of situations that there are many moms who couldn't breastfeed their babies because they just can't... Thank God, my hospital provides breast massage and seminars about the basic care for the newborns. I learned that breastmilk is like the law of supply & demand lol. Normally, it takes 3 to 7 days (or even 2 weeks ) to have a normal production of breastmilk. Some women are just lucky to begin producing milk during pregnancy.. In my case, it took me 7 days to have that leaking milk like a cow. The breast massage was uber painful especially the first 3 days of 30 min massage every morning during my stay in the hospital... oh well

Until now, I alternately feed my baby with breastmilk and formula milk.

My 4 months old Baby

OH hisashiburi desu (it's been awhile). I'm really sorry If I couldn't update my baby blog as often as I should be, because Im just too bad with time management. I envy other Mommy bloggers who are much busier than me but still find time to post journals at least 4 times a week .

As usual, it was a busy week for me & my dollier that I couldn't find time to post about my baby's 3 months milestones sooner. She just turned 4 months last week, February 8. There are sooooooooooo much things to share since the last time I updated about her.

Our lil dollie princess could really recognize who's who in her life. Sure she smiles at people whoever plays with her, but definitely later looks at us ( feeling assured that we're there, especially her beautiful mom ).

One of the greatest things she learned so far that excites us most, is she can laugh outloud. Im glad I had captured that first laugh just a couple of weeks ago, when she was 3 months and 1 week. I was the one who first witnessed it. Her dad was at work during that time so I took a clip from my phone and excitingly sent it thru mail . While playing with her, she never stopped laughing until she got tired. I was extremely overjoyed and my heart screamed at the same time. It was one of our happiest bonding time together.

She's such an adorable baby. We love it when she placed on her stomach. She's so cute. She could lift her head up with the support of her hands, and lifts up her legs as if she's on a sky dive . Sometimes she's diving with her dad, i mean Tummy Time =). They're so funny.

Our baby has transformed from a dependent newborn to an active, communicative and responsive baby . Giving up my job with a nice salary to become a full time stay at home m0mma (& a wifey) is all worth it. I wouldn't want to miss anything special from my baby's milestones of development.

Pics and clips taken before she turned 4 months

our baby's some other milestones includes:
Stronger kicks

Began to finger suck =(

She could easily grasp things even for a short time. She could hold her own bottle when feeding ( with a lil support ). She reach any object she sees.

Enjoys tickling... You'll love the way she giggles...

She make noises.. Sometimes she would raise her voice when nobody would pay attention.

She sleeps more than 7 hours straight at night. Sometimes, 6-hour stretch through the afternoon.

Smiles always. Especially when she wakes up in the morning. It's always been a good thing to start a day, i just don't remember when exactly she started doing it, it became already a routine everytime she wakes up in the morning.

She stares an object and follows it when it moves. It's funny when she stares at her Dad practicing golf and follows the golf club when it moves.

Becomes curius about the things around her. She looks at almost everything around the room. This time I also let her look at our reflection infront of the mirror, she looked shocked at first, but now she could laugh at her own reflection.

That's all for now. Hope you enjoyed watching the music video I made .
